About DACHSER Intelligent Logistics
DACHSER is one of the global leaders in the area of system logistics. The business is divided into the sectors transport logistics, warehousing and individual client services, whereby the last one again is subdivided into the areas “European-”, “Food-” and “Air & Sea-Logistics”. The product portfolio is complemented with branch specific solutions and contract logistics. In 2014 DACHSER generated EUR 5.3 bn. in revenues and employed 25,000 people in 437 locations globally.
Status quo and objectives
DACHSER uses TIS as an electronic banking system as well as for the company’s banking communication for international payment transactions. The need arose to implement a professional treasury reporting system to replace the existing Excel-reports covering more than 120 subsidiaries. In addition, one key requirement was the integration of the data from TIS and SAP into the treasury reporting system TIP.
All bank accounts as well as all financial positions were combined into one system in order to create reports for treasury as well as for the group companies. Requirements with regards to content and technical aspects were discussed as part of the scoping. Furthermore, we defined the data transfer from TIS and SAP and determined how further data will be displayed in TIP.
